We had a great time at LightFair 2018! Look for a more in-depth recap soon, but we wanted to take a moment to share with you some of the newest products we released during the exhibition. As the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show, we thought this would be the ideal time to showcase a couple of our new and most innovative EarthTronics lighting solutions available on the market today.
Vapor-Tight LED for Wet, Dusty, and Dirty Environments
Named as one of the top product picks from LightFair 2018, our new line of Vapor-Tight LED fixtures are a testament to our focus on delivering products that are environmentally friendly and a step above the norm. While delivering excellent energy savings, this new line of IP66 wet location rated and Vapor Tight LEDs provide a low-cost solution for lighting parking garages, cold storage, walkways, stairwells, under canopy, exterior retail, and other wet, dusty, and dirty environments.
These fixtures are available in 30 and 40 watts and are 48 inches long. What truly sets them apart from the pack is that architects can now specify a Vapor Tight fixture that can withstand intensive cleaning and power washing, which often occurs in walkways and parking garages for facilities including commercial buildings, colleges, universities, hotels, convention centers, and more. With its IP66 wet rating, they can also be used successfully in car washes!
Emergency Lighting Systems
The TB-2100 for emergency egress lighting was also released during LightFair 2018. A 500 lumen, 5-watt, emergency backup power for Type B, this unique product delivers an emergency power supply for EarthTronics Gen II Type B ballast bypass lamps. An efficient solution to simply skipping over emergency backup fixtures, these power packs help Type B T8 lamps stay on and stay strong.
T8 lamps are commonly used for retrofitting fluorescent systems when the ballast is removed from the circuit for increased energy efficiency. The TB 2100 installs in place of the existing ballast, providing constant power for the 90-minute rated battery life. It’s also rechargeable within 24 hours and comes with an illuminated test switch.
When properly applied with EarthTronics Gen II Type B lamps, the TB-2100 has a 5-watt output, producing 500 lumens and is capable of meeting NFPA Light Safety Code 101 requirements. Its high-temperature nickel-cadmium battery has a 7- to 10-year performance service life.
